How to read 一

① Onyomi (Chinese reading)

The on-readings are

・ichi　いち
・itsu　いつ

For example,
・一週間　isshū-kan　いっしゅうかん
a week
・一個　ikko　いっこ
one
It's a way of counting things.
・一方　ippō　いっぽう
the other one, the other hand
and so on.
